However, there is more to it than merely the manner in which one speaks. Her songs delve deeply within her, serving as occasions for self-examination and self-accountability in relation to the events that she has encountered in her life. This is the case with two tracks off of her Cheers To The Fall album titled “Gold” and “Forever Mine.” The burgeoning vocalist paid a visit to the Manhattan headquarters of VIBE on a balmy summer day, where she serenaded our employees with those two songs and explained the history behind them.

She explained what the album means to her by saying, “The album is a lot about not being seized up by fear,” when asked about the significance of the album to her. “Telling the truth is one of those things that is important to me. Being vulnerable and telling the complete truth while allowing yourself to be evaluated or criticised is one of the scariest things to do, but I always think about how people can jump out of aeroplanes and climb mountains, and I always think about how scary such things are.
