Video: Freeway – Illuminate

If you are a die-hard Roc-A-Fella fan, Saturday night (May 16) was a fantastic night for you. When Motorway and Beanie Sigel joined Hov on stage for “What We Do” during Jay Z’s B-Sides event in New York City, it was as if the year 2002 had been transported back in time.

Beans was the biggest surprise of the night, but Motorway has been splitting the majority of his time in the past few weeks between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. He has been organising protests in the name of his Justice League programme and demanding proper justice in the wake of the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Grey. Beans was the biggest surprise of the night.

The song “Illuminate” is a memorial to Grey, as it weaves together footage of protests, as well as performances by Free in Washington, D.C., and B-More.
