Wordsmith Julian Write, who hails from the West Coast, only recently allowed a highly intimate music video to assist in telling the story of his life. The emcee expresses his most inward thoughts and sentiments on the track “Dreams of a Minority,” which was produced by The Cratez.

“I made this record to simply show people who I am, where I’m from, and where I aspire to go,” adds Jualian. “I made this record to show people who I am, where I’m from, and where I aspire to go.” “Just telling my story and the people who motivate me to do what I do,” she said.

He goes on to say, “In one sentence, I’m pretty much a Mexican kid from a small town in the middle class who is working and dreaming to be a voice for my generation and to inject the culture of my Mexican roots into the culture of the United States.” I accomplish all of this while bringing up experiences and goals that are relatable to people of any ethnicity or background.

Julian asserts that he is actively striving to advance Mexican Americans in the hip-hop community. When he was a child, he felt that there should be more people who shared his experiences and had their voices heard through music.

“Because there are no Mexican artists who are prominent or popular in the mainstream American hip-hop world, I’m figuratively an immigrant or alien in that world also,” Julian explains further. “So that really fuels me to tell this story and make a mark.” And of course, considering that October is Mexican Heritage Month, I was interested in doing something that would attract attention to the topic while also serving as a fitting conclusion to the month.
