Kendrick Lamar of Compton, who has been referred to as “king” by some of the most prominent figures in the music industry, continues to spend as much time as he can helping young people.

K. Dot began the week by sharing a heartwarming story on his YouTube channel in which he discusses the importance of having a strong work ethic and how it contributed to his overall success.

We were there when the California rapper came upon a posse of fans while he was spending the day in Los Angeles with his young friend. The little youngster is regularly reminded of Kendrick’s celebrity status, but the TDE star always makes sure to remind his friend that he owes it all to the hard work he has put in. On the other hand, the residents of his hometown can be seen in the latest Grammy video performing his “Alright verse.”

Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to do a performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, which will take place later this month. He has been nominated for an astounding 11 awards in all.
