Video: Lil Uzi Vert – Just Wanna Rock

Finally, a video has been created for Lil Uzi Vert‘s popular hit with TikTok in a chokehold and inspired by Jersey clubs. The New York City-shot video for “Just Wanna Rock” shows Uzi flying through space in a monster truck before arriving at a dance party.

Uzi performs his footwork routine as the crowd pumps him up, with cameo appearances from major TikTok celebrities like 2rare. Later, he finds himself in New York City’s streets, where he causes a tremendous uproar by dancing on top of his car until the police show up.

In the song’s sparse lyrics, Uzi raps: “Ha! I just want to shake it down and rock out at 1600 block, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. I just want to rock, so shake it down, body-ody. Shawty got that body-ody, shake it down, ah, ah, ah. The phrase “Hit her once, no ties” is used. How the f**k are you going to ruin my mood? Shake it off. Don’t know my size, stand on my money (shake it).

There is a heated argument about whether the dance routine originated in Philadelphia or New Jersey and incorporates the well-known TikTok hip-swiping technique. The dance belongs to the Garden, in the opinion of well-known Jersey club producer DJ Jayhood and many other New Jerseyans.
