Video: Nas – 30
The music video for “30,” a song from the critically acclaimed King’s Disease III album by Grammy-winning rap legend Nas, has just been released. The Queens, New York-based emcee gets bossed around while he raps in a huge, darkened area with barely a sliver of light peeping through, as shown in the cinematic video directed by Sarah McColgan.
The monochromatic video cuts between Nas controlling the scene from the middle floor and his gang arriving in ski masks. The 49-year-old is shown as being larger than life as he spits while perched on a mountain while donning a fur coat, sunglasses, and an iced-out Queensboro neckpiece.
I wonder why Pete Rock would act that way, he raps, “Superhero material, rap star status/ Premier album still might happen/ Such conduct makes me immediately retaliate (30)/ I know that you all are hoping that I return to nothing, but I’m not sure if all the good that I did is being concealed by their agenda once more, ni**a. Let’s move past the fronting and get money in the future.
