Video: Russ – Cold Wind Blows Freestyle

Russ is maintaining his practise of releasing new tracks regularly. He presents us with his “Paddington Freestyle” this time, which was influenced by the 2014 children’s movie Paddington Bear.

Russ decided to use the unusual sound he had heard in the movie for his own rhythm and to document the recording process in a video that was uploaded to Instagram. He quickly took to the microphone to spit about his role in the rap world, what sets him apart from other rappers, and how he wants to inspire people in a freestyle.

Russ felt inspired to ask his go-to cinematographer, House Of Muelz, to do a complimentary music video because a dope freestyle wasn’t enough. He raps, “I’m past the point where y’alls opinions hold weight, Although I still be tryin’ to fight back like I’m José,” as he drives a Bentley around a dead metropolis. These yellow diamonds were placed around my neck by my jewellers. That is a frigid play. God and I enjoy playing pretend in my universe. My entire career has been a road game. Although the boos messed me up, my tolerance has since improved. In 2008, I entered my flow state, which is joyful. At best, these guys are wishful; they are not who they think they are.

Russ recently completed the North American leg of The Journey Is Everything World Tour. Since then, he has released a number of songs, including the chart-topping “Take You Back” with Kehlani, “Ugly” with Lil Baby, the Capella Grey-infused “Seduce,” and “Handsomer” with Ktlyn.
