Video: Sevyn Streeter – ‘It’s a Man’s World’ (James Brown Tribute)

Sevyn Streeter performed a passionate cover of James Brown’s timeless hit “It’s a Man’s World” on May 3, which would have been the artist’s 90th birthday.

The iconic song, which Brown released in 1966, was a #1 hit on the R&B charts at the time, and Sevyn is certainly hoping that her version does the same.

Referring to the Godfather of Soul one of her “greatest melodic impacts” in the Instagram post that declared the appearance of her version, Monday (May 8) saw her development with the arrival of its true going with music video.

Her first 2023 single, “Man’s World,” comes out nearly eight months after her last official single, “23,” which many people thought would be the first taste of new music for her long-awaited “Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz,” which came out in 2021.

The yet-untitled project has not been given a tentative release date as of the time this report was written.
