Video: Styles P - Brand New

Following the release of his album S.P. The Goat: The Ghost of all Time, Styles P is now working on new material. The seasoned poet is still actively contributing to the project.

Following the release of a free song named “Brand New” not too long ago, the L.O.X. member presented the music video for the song. SP the Ghost, which was shot by Benjie Filmz, brings us all the way from Uptown to Yonkers. The rapper who was born David Styles gives principles to masculinity and moral counsel while reminding you that he’ll still catch a fade with anybody who is prepared to indulge. He does this while sticking to his normal g-code.

After the release of his G-Host album the previous year, Styles P had a conversation with us about how he manages to keep his violent demeanour in check.

“So, I always had the idea, and before I even thought I could make it as a rap artist, my shit was: ‘how am I going to get this bread?'” “What is the best way for me to get to the next block?” A warrior mindset is characterised by having exactly this sort of attitude towards life. I have no choice but to do what I have to do; either I will set this turd on fire or I will poke this guy. I am willing to resort to whatever means necessary in order to keep living. You will have to come to terms with the fact that this does not make you a more manly person. It does not diminish your manhood in any way. It’s a factor that you have to take into consideration.”

“It’s a draining experience. When asked about being hostile all the time, Styles stated that it was too taxing. “I’m going to that location with my strap, and I’m going to fetch my second strap. What the f*** am I supposed to be doing? I have kids. I have a place to live. Why am I even bothering to travel to this location if I have to go in such a state? Enjoy your independence, enjoy the fresh air, enjoy having money, love spending time with family, and enjoy not having to worry about anything. When I was younger, I detested situations in which I was unarmed. Over the course of many years, I have never been without at least two firearms. That **** was doing havoc on my mental health. And on top of that, it will begin to draw in energy that you do not need.
