The music of Summer Walker is up next for the record company LVRN, which is situated in Atlanta. After the massive success of her debut single “CPR,” Walker has released a music video for her most recent song, “Girls Need Love.” In the music video for Roll Bounce, which was directed by Summer, she and her girlfriends had a throwback girls’ night out in a roller rink from the 1970s. “Girls Need Love” is a liberated female hymn that aims to overcome gendered preconceptions through Walker’s enchanting voice. The song perfectly complements the mystical and entrancing atmosphere of the music video.

Walker is aiming to carve out a space for herself in the industry despite having label-mates such as D.R.A.M. and 6lack. Summer Walker hopes to set a new flame under the R&B genre with her music, and she credits Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse as her primary musical influences.
