Video: Tee Grizzley & Skilla Baby – Ain’t Gotta Lie

Tee Grizzley and Skilla Baby made Detroit pleased by finishing off the long stretch of April with the arrival of Controversy. Their musical chemistry was at the forefront of their 12-track, featureless joint mixtape. The project’s official music video for “Ain’t Gotta Lie” was released over the weekend. The video takes place in their home town of Motor City, where a crowd of fans gathers to watch Tee unleash his flow:

The rappers themselves assert that this partnership is just getting started with Controversy. Me and Skilla proceeded to create something we can both be glad for our city, and we ain’t stopping with this,” Grizzley affirmed through public statement.

Controversy is a development to the “First Day Out” emcee’s 2022 project, Parts Of The Channels, a 13-track collection that stunningly took audience members through three separate storylines: “Jay and Twan,” “Ms. Evans,” and “Tez and Tone.” Before that was 2021’s Half Tee Half Beast mixtape, which flaunted only two highlights from Baby Grizzley and Lakeyah. He can be heard on recent collaborations like Hunxho’s “Uh Huh,” Drego & Beno’s “Wit It,” and Fredo Bang’s “Pay For It” outside of his own releases.
