Video: Vic Mensa – Strawberry Louis Vuitton ft. Thundercat, Maeta

Vic Mensa flew into the air in the latest music video for “Strawberry Louis Vuitton.” The 29-year-old artist paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh in the video.

The “Strawberry Louis Vuitton” audio with Thundercat and Maeta was shared on all streaming services on the same day, but the video was initially made available only on Facebook on Friday (Jan. 27). As of Monday morning (Jan. 30), the video—which features the Chicago musician playing the guitar while skydiving in a baby blue suit—was made public on YouTube.

After landing, the I Tape artist sees a woman who is lounging on a picnic blanket after strolling along a runway covered in mud. She is holding the camera that was used to capture his entire skydiving adventure. The luxury brand is explicitly mentioned in the song’s title, which could be interpreted as an attempt at branded content. The soles of Vic Mensa’s sneakers and the frames of his eyeglasses, meanwhile, are subtle references to Louis Vuitton.
