Fonseca, a Colombian singer-songwriter, released his fourth album, Ilusión (English: Illusion), through Sony Music on September 30, 2011. Bernardo Ossa and Andres Levin produced the album. The album’s musical style is Tropipop with Latin Pop influences, and the majority of the songs are motivated by the various emotions associated with the ardour and delight of love.

Released August 22, 2011, solely in select Latin American nations, the album’s lead track “Desde Que No Estás” peaked at number 10 in those countries. “Eres Mi Sueño,” the second single, was made available on November 30, 2011, and it was released in the US on June 19 of the same year. The song reached its highest position of one in Colombia and fifteen in Latin Songs. August 31, 2012, saw the release of the third single, “Ay Amor”.
