Video: Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic – Skate

Considering that the highly anticipated and eagerly awaited album by Silk Sonic is still somewhat evading us…the team of Anderson and Anderson.Paak and Bruno Mars give us another dance floor scorcher with the motorized rolling rink banger known as “Skate.” This groove laced with violin and heavy percussion lets the ladies know to move over to their side of the love chamber. It has the same sing-along feel as their smash song “Leave the Door Open,” which topped the charts on Billboard.

“Oh, skate to me darling! Skate! The guys encouraged greater activity in the water by saying, “Slide your way over here!” in order to set the stage for it. The video, which was created by Bruno Mars and Florent Dechard (who is a frequent visual collaborator with Mars), has a high energy appeal and maintains the chemistry of the pair as they take this music to an impromptu street party to truly get their roll on. The video was directed by Bruno Mars and Florent Dechard. The guys did an excellent job of prominently showing their instruments on some old school flow because they stuck to the script. They have no idea how many up-and-coming artists will be impacted by the aesthetic that they are committing to presenting, but they are committed to it anyway.

Is this the kind of song that we want to listen to in the end? Probably not, considering the fact that they are now playing with our feelings with these two outstanding tracks. It’s almost as though you’re asking, “Where is the album already?” We are aware that you have the goods; let the hounds loose!
