Video: Lola Brooke – You Ft Bryson Tiller
For their sensual new single “You,” Lola Brooke and Bryson Tiller have reworked Foxy Brown’s 1996 smash “Get Me Home,” which featured BLACKStreet.
Although the “Big Gator” and the fellow Brooklynite have frequently been contrasted because of their comparable tones and delivery, Lola excels on this occasion.
The song’s accompanying video, which Samuel McKnight directed, has Lola dancing about a dressing room while sipping champagne. Before joining Lola on a glass stage atop a pool, Tiller joins a young woman on a balcony overlooking a lovely view.
The Khris Riddick-Tynes and LilJuMadeDaBeat-produced track, which comes just in time for “cuffing season,” has a warmth to it, much like Foxy’s track had when it first came out. The song and video have a “feel-good energy,” as the “Don’t Play With It” rhymer goes down a red carpet while wearing a black dress adorned with gems while paparazzi take pictures.
