Video: Saweetie Ft YG & Tyga – Birthday

On July 2, Saweetie celebrated her birthday, but the “Icy Girl” celebration continued. The representative from the Bay Area dropped the aptly named song “Birthday” on Friday (July 28), featuring contributions from her West Coast contemporaries Tyga and YG.

The upbeat song was released with a video that showed a sumptuous party where the queen of the Cancer season had her way.

The 30-year-old raps on the haughty song, “If you f**kin up my vibe you gotta go.”

Birthday” is paired with Saweetie’s “Shot-O’Clock,” a Friday release of Suzanne Vega’s “Tom’s Diner” flip. As she works to polish her debut album Pretty Bi**h Music, the two singles follow her The Single Life EP from last year.

In an interview with E! News’ Francesca Amiker earlier this year, the Grammy Award-nominated rapper said, “I’ve been through a lot of fascinating events. I want to incorporate all of that into my album in the most creative and natural way possible.

She went on, “I feel like a debut album is not something you just put out,” she said. “You shouldn’t play with it. Since I am a Cancer, I occasionally enjoy overthinking, but I believe you have to be very careful with it, and I take my art very seriously.
