Video: Bobby Shmurda – Getting Em Back

Bobby Shmurda, who became independent at the beginning of the year after leaving Epic Records, has been releasing music nonstop since. The music video for the Brooklyn rapper’s new single, “Get Em Back,” has Shmurda in full sniper gear as the newest visual from him.

The rapper is seen in the Ishell Vaughan-directed video changing the scenery at a moment’s notice, from shooting hoops in the scorching sun with a harem of hotties to snowmobiling on the white slopes with a caravan full of plenty of attractive women. Shmurda busts out a variety of dance steps, and his silly antics are a jarring contrast to his violent lyrics, in which he takes great pleasure in seeking revenge on his enemies.

They Don’t Know is a new project that Shmurda launched earlier this year after accusing Epic Records of “blackballing” him after complaining about the label’s management of his career. Since returning home from prison in 2021, it will be his first full-length release in seven years. The project, which was supposed to be released on April 29, hasn’t materialized, and Shmurda has only released its title track and its accompanying music video.
