Shakira, a Colombian singer-songwriter, released her debut and only remix album, The Remixes, on October 21, 1997 through Sony Music Colombia. Remixes of songs from her first studio album Pies Descalzos, which helped her achieve popularity in Latin America two years earlier, make up this album. The CD is mostly a Spanish-language endeavour, although it also includes Portuguese song remakes.

The album, a great classic, perfectly portrays the performer’s extraordinary talent and distinctive style. A fantastic musical experience is created by deftly fusing upbeat music with lyrics.
