Rising musician Tommy Richman recently released Last Nite and its accompanying music video, but he’s not nearly done building a name for himself. With the release of his newest EP, The Rush, Tommy takes us on a novel and enlightening journey.

We experience a range of emotions and concepts throughout the EP. Messy, a melancholy and contagious song that invokes vintage R&B vocal harmonies and melodies, serves as the album’s opening tune. These components combine with modern beats in a seamless manner, immersing the lyrics in a slick, velvety soundtrack. As we move into the next gear, the opening song does a terrific job of establishing the scene for the songs that will come after it. As we progress through the tracklist, Glock 25 appears and introduces a slower tempo with its fast beats.
